The Emla patch contains anesthetics like Lidocaine and Prilocaine that are used to numb a small area of the skin. Patchs are a topical anestethic for dermal analgesia. This box includes 2 patches and they must be applied at least one hour before the procedure.
Emla (lidocaine and prilocaine) is a type of local anaesthetic, which is a numbing medication. This form of medication is normally used as a method of pain relief whilst you are preparing for a basic medical procedure or operation.
