Description
The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) Test for Self-Testing (Ultra-Sensitive) is a rapid and convenient immunochromatographic in-vitro assay for the detection of HCG hormone in urine to help in early diagnosis of pregnancy. The device is designed for home use or over the counter use. The test provides a visual, qualitative result. Clinical expertise and professional judgment should be sought to further evaluate the result of the test.
When is best time to tests?
The best time to do HCG Test is around day 23 after your last period, or 5 days before the expected menstruation.
How to prepare specimens?
Urine samples can be collected at any time of the day. However, the first urine sample collected in early morning is most desirable as the HCG concentration is the highest at that time.Urine specimens may be collected in any clean and dry plastic or glass container (not provided).
If the urine samples cannot be assayed immediately, it can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 48 hours before testing. If specimens are refrigerated or frozen, they should be equilibrated to room temperature for 30 minutes prior to testing.
