I am female and ordered a medium and a small for a shallow arched size 9 foot.
I found the small a bit small and the medium a bit big. I have a 10 year old similar brace bought in Montreal that is better than this Champion. My older ankle brace is of better fabric with more supportive tension and seemingly less polyester and therefore more comfortable. I find the new Champion brace I just purchased digs into my foot at the top front and leaves marks, and then an open wound as the fabric is too abrasive and unforgiving, I also find the banding a bit wide and wish it was 1/2 inch narrow in the "foot section. Seems made more for a mans foot, as most things are now, rather than a woman's foot. Basic complaint is fabric quality is too rough, leaving an open cut after wearing for 2 days (I am 61 year old female) and too wide on the forefoot, and not enough tension due to fabric quality. I would pay more for a better quality fabric and a female support of this design. OK to wear for a day here and there, but not everyday as it cuts into older skin (i,e, 50 and above).
